Sharon & Steve {Cherished}

The time has come for me to introduce my CHERISHED Photoshoots! It all about the things you CHERISH is life. Each other, your children, your pets, your photography, your hobbies… anything you Cherish :) Please read Sharon and Steve’s story below, it will explain the Monkey ;)

Here is Sharon and Steve’s story about how they met:

Steve’s Side of the Story:

I first meet Sharon 3 years ago after I placed a bid for her on the internet!!!! ;) We became friends and often chatted but due to commitments weeks would pass without any contact. She would comment on a status, we would for hours until work took me away. Earlier this year, after spending, weeks chatting every evening, I received a naughty text message but did not recognising the number. I replied “How do I know you’re not a bloke”. After several hours and many funny messages Sharon admitted it was her, it was a big relief! I had kind of hoped in the back of my mind they were from her. Although we had never really flirted up until that point I had noticed over the years how much we have in common and liked her. The texts also gave me another meaning, maybe our friendship had the possibility of becoming much more.

We have a great love of nature from the beautiful flowers in a cottage garden to the most extreme of weather conditions which shows how powerful mother earth can be.

I have been bringing up my children alone for 21 years and had long ago given up on the idea of sharing my life with anyone but myself. Meeting Sharon at this point in my life just as my youngest daughter had left home and become a parent herself couldn’t have been timed any better.

I am so in love with Sharon I would never have thought it possible to be this happy. The photo shoot was a way of capturing and showing everyone how happy we are.

What Steve said about Heline:

Heline has managed to seize everything we feel for each other in a way that has truly moved me.
It was the first time I met Heline, she made me feel so comfortable and at ease. We had lots of fun on the day. The photos are something I can be look back on in years to come and it will still move me as much as they do today.

Thank you Heline you have a wonderful gift and I feel honoured that you shared it with us to make this tribute of our love for each other.

Sharon’s Side of the Story:

We meet on a social network site 3 years ago. Over the years we became good friends. On April Fools day this year I sent him a cheeky naughty text message, knowing he lost all his numbers and he wouldn’t be sure who it came from! Weeks later (our birthdays are 1 day apart) we celebrated together, I asked him to be my boyfriend.

How many of you are sitting there looking at the photos thinking what is the Monkey about! Here’s the story about Mokey: Once upon a time…… on the 26th June 2011 in a Garden Centre, I was minding my own busy when I felt a bite on my butt. I turned to find Steve and Monkey looking innocent. Days later we took Steve’s grandson on a picnic passing the garden centre. I told Steve I think we should stop off and get Monkey, we will have so much fun with him. He now travels everywhere with us and is getting rather famous! People ask us ‘Why?’ we reply ‘Why Not!’

Discovering we both like something is a wonderful feeling. Or even not liking when asked “do you like Marmite” YUK YUK YUK YUK neither of us do. What is there not to love about Steve. He makes me laugh every single day. He is my ‘Peter Pan’. The big kid in him has bought back out the big kid in me. It is so much fun to do silly things because we can.

I love it when he gets that look on his face when starts to think about something. There are two version the ‘serious’ and the ‘mischief’ both I ask “should I worry!” his reply is always “don’t ask!” No matter what it is you just know at one point he will say “I’ve got just the thing for that” or “I’ve had a brilliant idea”. I adore the way he gets excited about ideas or when he has found something. Nothing in the world makes me feel safer than being in Steve’s arms. I know I am loved, protected and complete.

I tell Steve every day as many different ways as I can ‘I Love You’ I hope he never bores of it. After my ex I honestly thought I would never feel love and happiness again. I had signed myself up to being on my own. It just goes to show how one day, one text can make a difference to your life. If you ever are unsure to do something or not, I say go for it. What have you got to lose?

  I know I love Steve with everything that I am, but it’s not until you are doing something to show it (like a photoshoot) that you realise how much. I had many moments of looking at Steve during the photoshoot and feeling the love for him swell in my heart.

This day was about ‘cherish’. We cherish many things, having a wonderful day to remember and capture all of those things is wonderful.
